A Knight in Shining Armor by Jude Deveraux

Well the second time-travel story that I read of Jude Deveraux is A Knight in Shining Armor. In this story Love sets no boundaries to time. Dougless Montgomery, a total pushover, tries to be the very essence of the modern American woman — competent and sexy, financially independent.  Abandoned by a cruel fate, she lies upon a cold tombstone, crying in fury and frustration, longing for a knight in shining armor to save her from this  mess. As if in answer to her prayers, Nicholas Stafford, Earl of Thornwyck.. from the Elizabethan age, who was about to be executed in his period for treason is drawn to her.

In order to clear his name and save his family from destruction Dougless and Nicholas set forth to find evidence by researching the history books and trying to find the real culprit. First Nicholas comes to the twentieth century and then Dougless goes to the   sixteenth century (Elizabethan era), saving lives, righting the wrong and changing the history.

By clearing his name in the history books, also makes her realize that she is actually a strong woman who does not need to rely on other people. This story tells that love is eternal, true love always gives you strength to do what  an ordinary man cannot accomplish. True Love is a binding of two souls and not bodies.

Most of all this story makes me wish that I could have something half as magical , makes me believe that there is a Knight in Shining Armor out there for everyone.
