This is the first book that I have read of Jenny Carroll
and i found it really hilarious.
When Lightning Strikes
is about 16 year old Jessica Mastriani. she agrees to walk the two miles home from their school Just because her best friend Ruth wants to exercise.They get caught in the thunderstorm and take shelter under the bleachers. A very wrong thing to do, as these are made of iron and iron attracts lightning.Since trouble always finds Jess, this time it is in the form of a Lightning strike in turn leading to a new talent.This talent in turn leads to a lot of trouble.
This book is really funny, but also it shows loyalty and a will to live life on ones own terms. All in all it is a good read and especially the teenagers are sure to enjoy it.
