Parsifal Mosaic by Robert Ludlum

The Parsifal Mosaic is another great Espionage Thriller written by Robert Ludlum. Each time I read a Robert Ludlum novel they give me the this feeling to read more. This guy is the king of Espionage Thrillers. Parsifal Mosaic is another one of his best shy novels which is full of action.

Michael Havelock’s world died on a moonlit beach on the Costa Brava. He watched as his partner and lover, Jenna Karats, double agent, was efficiently gunned down by his own agency. There was nothing left for him but to quit the game, get out. Until, in one frantic moment on a crowded railroad platform in Rome, Havelock saw his Jenna alive. From then on, he was marked for death by both U.S. and Russian assassins, racing around the globe after his beautiful betrayer, trapped in a massive mosaic of treachery created by a top-level mole with the world in his fist–Parsifal.

I can give this 5 stars just like most of Amazon customers have done. Great story by a great author. If you want to start reading this book better find a weekend because Parsifal Mosaic is “unputdownable”. You can’t stop any thriller fan who read books of Robert Ludlum become a fan of him. Now its time for me to find another Robert Ludlum book for this weekend.

Valhalla Rising by Clive Cussler

Valhalla Rising is another Dirk Pitt Adventure by Clive Cussler. He is one of my favorite action adventure novel writers. I like this Dirk Pitt series because those are always about historical incidents, treasure hunting as well as action. You have have all in one when you read Dirk Pitt novels. Clive Cussler sometimes use him self as a side character without harming the story line.

Pitt’s NUMA survey ship happens to be in the vicinity when the world’s newest and biggest cruise ship founders and sinks, giving Pitt the chance to stage the daring rescue of nearly 2,000 passengers. Among those who perish is a famous scientist whose revolutionary engines powered the ship to her watery grave; while Pitt is unable to save Dr. Egan, he rescues his beautiful daughter Kelly from the sea, and later from a murder attempt aboard the rescue vessel.
Pitt and his trusty pal Al Giordino track the sinking to the boardroom door of a multinational conglomerate called Cerberus, whose evil CEO has designs on the world’s oil supply. He’ll do anything to keep Egan’s advanced engines and secret formula for frictionless oil off the market–even sabotage another vessel, this time a luxury passenger submarine. By the time our heroes have foiled the mastermind’s nefarious plots, they’ve also uncovered the existence of a working submarine nearly a century before one actually existed–irrefutable proof of a Viking landing on the Hudson River–and the remains of the British sailor who inspired Jules Verne’s Captain Nemo.

I enjoyed reading Valhalla Rising and I don’t know what others say but it’s a brilliantly written novel. Anyone who love sea/treasure type action adventure novels would enjoy it. Also Dirk Pitt series is something you can enjoy reading. Maybe plot is not believable and this is not one of the greatest action adventure novels but still Valhalla Rising is not bad book which make you bored.

The Matarese Circle by Robert Ludlum

The Matarese Circle by Robert Ludlum is one of the best best spy thrillers I have read. It maybe not action filled as much as thrillers like ICE Station But still it’s a masterpiece of suspense, intrigue, excitement, intricate detail, spectacular actions. I think anyone who loves Robert Ludlum thrillers wound rate The Matarese Circle as one of his best ever books. The Matarese Circle is wonderfully written and detailed. Robert Ludlum is Authur C. Canon doil of spy thrillers. If you like espionage+Action thrillers you are gonna love Robert Ludlum books.

Two spy agents from Soviet Russia and USA, Known as the best. They are enemies not just by the line of their work but also hatred has become personal. Suddenly they finds they have to leave all hatred aside and team together to save to world as well as their own lives. Hunted by KBG, CIA and every known shy agency and labeled as traitors running out of time.Sworn enemies, they have vowed to terminate each other—yet now they must become allies. Because only they possess the brutal skills and ice-cold nerves vital to destroy an international circle of killers, the Matarese.

This is my favorite thriller of Robert Ludlum. I don’t like the ending a lot, I think it can be bit better. Technically nothing wrong with the ending, It’s just my opinion. If you haven’t read any Robert Ludlum novels then The Matarese Circle is a good book to start with.

Girl Meets Ape by Chris Manby

Girl Meets Ape by Chris Manby is pretty cool ChickLit novel. It’s not the best bur I think I enjoyed it. This is the only book I have read which written by Chris Manby. Its not those big comedy type chicklit novel but its more into light romance.

He’s the King of the Swingers. But she’s the Ice Queen. When Dr Jennifer Niederhauser becomes head of the chimpanzee project at Prowdes Animal Sanctuary, the uptight young zoologist looks forward to making her mark in the conservation world. But the regime is ramshackle, the chimpanzees uncontrollable and her first meeting with head keeper Guy Gibson finds him naked and covered in baby oil. She decides never to work with animals or the childish again. But, she may not have a job for much longer anyway – Prowdes is in big financial trouble. Salvation comes in the form of a TV documentary.

I think  its an average or below if I have to rate the book. But the storyline is nice and simple. I was not bored reading it. Girl Meets Ape is a British chicklit novel which you can finish in a day. I have to stay story didn’t keep thing moving like at beginning of the book. I think this might be the reason readers might simply grade the book as not so good novel. I can’t blame them for that.

The Bourne Sanction by Robert Ludlum

The Bourne Sanction is written by Robert Ludlum and Eric Van Lustbader.  This is another Action-Thriller book of  Bourne Trilogy. if you have read The Bourne Identity novel or movie and like it you would like this book too. It’s filled with action and shy agency things also little romance along the way.

Globe-trotting secret agent Jason Bourne returns in the third installment under the helm of Lustbader, who struggles to captivate as convincingly and effectively as Ludlum did in the original novels. Amid a cheesy prologue that features corny background music to set the mood, Jeremy Davidson speeds through the opening paragraphs at breakneck speed. Perhaps in an attempt to increase tension from the start, Davidson comes off sounding incredibly forced and somewhat uncomfortable. As the story progresses, he slows down but lacks any real authenticity. His characters are flat and uninspired, his performance monotonous and bland.

Ok The Bourne Sanction is not best as  The Bourne Identity or The Bourne Supremacy. But still it gives you what you except from A  action thriller novel. Like all other Robert Ludlum books quality is there. There are lot of law ratings form Amazon customers for this because they had expected the same level like The Bourne Identity. But one has to understand not every book can be best even from same author.
