The Chancellor Manuscript by Robert Ludlum

The Chancellor Manuscript by Robert Ludlum is another great Espionage Thriller / Political Thriller by this great master of Thriller novels. The Chancellor Manuscript is not heavily action packed thriller like The Bourne Identity or that series. But still its good enough. Story is well built and it goes smoothly.

Peter Chancellor, who found unlikely success as an author of political thrillers after his ambitions to become a historian were frustrated, writes a work of fiction that comes close enough to the scenario described that the people who controlled those files, a group called Inver Brass in the novel, decide that someone else may also know too much. This sets the stage for the international intrigue that follows

The Chancellor Manuscript by Robert Ludlum is highly praised by many of this fans as well as those who bought this novel from Amazon.com. But for me its little bit lack of action. I think I’m more into The Bourne Identity type novels which are full of  action. Still The Chancellor Manuscript a good thriller and nice novel to read in a weekend.

Parsifal Mosaic by Robert Ludlum

The Parsifal Mosaic is another great Espionage Thriller written by Robert Ludlum. Each time I read a Robert Ludlum novel they give me the this feeling to read more. This guy is the king of Espionage Thrillers. Parsifal Mosaic is another one of his best shy novels which is full of action.

Michael Havelock’s world died on a moonlit beach on the Costa Brava. He watched as his partner and lover, Jenna Karats, double agent, was efficiently gunned down by his own agency. There was nothing left for him but to quit the game, get out. Until, in one frantic moment on a crowded railroad platform in Rome, Havelock saw his Jenna alive. From then on, he was marked for death by both U.S. and Russian assassins, racing around the globe after his beautiful betrayer, trapped in a massive mosaic of treachery created by a top-level mole with the world in his fist–Parsifal.

I can give this 5 stars just like most of Amazon customers have done. Great story by a great author. If you want to start reading this book better find a weekend because Parsifal Mosaic is “unputdownable”. You can’t stop any thriller fan who read books of Robert Ludlum become a fan of him. Now its time for me to find another Robert Ludlum book for this weekend.

The Matarese Circle by Robert Ludlum

The Matarese Circle by Robert Ludlum is one of the best best spy thrillers I have read. It maybe not action filled as much as thrillers like ICE Station But still it’s a masterpiece of suspense, intrigue, excitement, intricate detail, spectacular actions. I think anyone who loves Robert Ludlum thrillers wound rate The Matarese Circle as one of his best ever books. The Matarese Circle is wonderfully written and detailed. Robert Ludlum is Authur C. Canon doil of spy thrillers. If you like espionage+Action thrillers you are gonna love Robert Ludlum books.

Two spy agents from Soviet Russia and USA, Known as the best. They are enemies not just by the line of their work but also hatred has become personal. Suddenly they finds they have to leave all hatred aside and team together to save to world as well as their own lives. Hunted by KBG, CIA and every known shy agency and labeled as traitors running out of time.Sworn enemies, they have vowed to terminate each other—yet now they must become allies. Because only they possess the brutal skills and ice-cold nerves vital to destroy an international circle of killers, the Matarese.

This is my favorite thriller of Robert Ludlum. I don’t like the ending a lot, I think it can be bit better. Technically nothing wrong with the ending, It’s just my opinion. If you haven’t read any Robert Ludlum novels then The Matarese Circle is a good book to start with.

The Sands of Sakkara by Glenn Meade

Sands of Sakkara by Glenn Meade is a good war time espionage thriller. It’s not the best of espionage thriller novels but also its not the worst. I liked the plot and story.

Glenn Meade’s latest historical thriller begins in 1939, at the archaeological site of Sakkara near Cairo. Best friends Jack Halder (a wealthy German American playboy), and Harry Weaver (who grew up in the servants quarters of Jack’s house), get together for high jinks, digging, and discovery. Both men fall in love with the same woman–Rachel Stern, a beautiful archaeologist. They shovel, talk, argue about who loves whom more, while Hitler invades Poland.

Four years later, World War II is at its height. Jack has become a German spy and Rachel is in a concentration camp. Both are pulled from their respective situations, and are sent by the Nazis to Cairo. Their mission is to help set the stage for a commando raid that will kill Winston Churchill and President Roosevelt. And guess who the Allies choose to destroy these dastardly plans? Army Intelligence’s own Lieutenant Colonel Harry Weaver, of course.

It’s ending is predictable about there is a surprise for reader. Though it would be not an ending reader would except but not all books have 100% happy endings. But I enjoyed the story  of  The Sands of Sakkara.

Executive Power by Vince Flynn

Executive Power by Vince Flynn is another great political thriller which is full of action. Another thriller about Vince Flynn’s famous character Mitch Rapp‘s action-packed fight against terrorism. Executive Power is another fast paced political thriller which won’t disappoint you.

Mitch Rapp is the CIA’s number one assassin, recently lauded by the president as “the single most important person in America’s fight against terrorism.” Recently married to a high-profile anchorwoman and given a desk job, Mitch is having a hard time settling into the brain center of the CIA and giving up the gritty end of operations. He can’t seem to resist seeking hands-on involvement in his latest assignment: unraveling a murky plot to create a Palestinian state. A mysterious operative, “David,” plans to assassinate the heads of the major terrorist groups in the region and pin the deaths on Israel, simultaneously creating sympathy for the Palestinian cause while striking a fatal blow against terrorism, which he despises.

Executive Power is the forth book of  Vince Flynn‘s  Mitch Rapp political thriller series. Its good as all of his other novels. Just like rest of the Mitch Rapp political thriller series Executive Power is fast paced and exciting. If you love reading thriller novels you are gonna enjoy this one.
